What is Soul Purpose Lifestyle Company? Soul Purpose Lifestyle Company was founded in 2007 by Nadine Abraham Thompson as a socially responsible and sustainable direct selling company with a mission of creating empowering business opportunities, primarily for women. Our vision is to support individual purpose and vision through the marketing of exquisite, natural, high quality products that illuminate body, beauty, style and spirit.
How did you become interested in this area of business? I went to a Soul Purpose Lifestyle party and simply fell in love with the products. I loved the fragrances and that the products were natural, which are much healthier for your skin.
Why did you create your business? After working eight hours a day for someone else, it was time for me to do something for myself. Time to set my own hours and work for ME; it was time to start working toward my dreams and not someone else’s; it was time to DO ME.
What do you love most about what you do? I absolutely love helping women and empowering women to take control of their destiny. I like to create what I call the “Soul Purpose Affect,” which, for me, means that I have the ability to affect positive changes in the lives of my clients by offering fragrant candles, which will calm your mood and offering our Exquisite body scrubs, which will exfoliate and moisturize your delicate skin. The “Soul Purpose Affect” is an attitude, it’s a lifestyle when you care to have the very best. I enjoy representing a quality product that is healthy for your skin and the environment. One of the most significant aspects of Soul Purpose is its strong reliance on building a strong community of like-minded individuals. We, at Soul Purpose, believe in doing well by doing good.
What is the most stressful aspect of your job? The most stressful aspect for me is not being able to work my business full time at the moment. Sometimes, the economy plays a factor in that people may not have the money to spend on pampering themselves, which affects business.
What’s a typical day like for you? A typical day for me is going to work for eight hours, coming home and working on my Soul Purpose business by calling clients to see if they need to order anything, prepping for Soul Purpose Spa parties, mentoring my business partners and connecting with people through various social mediums.
What advice or tips would you give someone who wants to do what you do? Research, research! Try the products, and develop your own personal testimony. Make sure that the business is something that you are passionate about and something that will add great value to your life and the lives of others. Most of all, be ready for Hard Work! Your business is truly what you make it!
