A few months ago, I interviewed for an article that will appear in Family Circle Magazine this year. When I received the call that my article was chosen & will be featured in the October edition, I was excited & filled with so much pride & joy. I later received a call that the publisher would send a hair stylist, make up artist and photographer to Baltimore for the photo shoot for photos that will appear in the magazine. Needless to say, I was even more than elated! The first thing I could do is call up my Mentor & Business Coach, John Klymshyn & tell him the great news; he has prepared me for success & I thought that he should know that the lady he had met in 2007...has grown up & evolved enough to be featured in a National Magazine -- mostly due to the training & coaching that I have received from him in the past 2 years! The next call I made was to Nadine Thompson, CEO of Soul Purpose Lifestyle Company. I had to fill her in with the details because this article is all about Direct Sales & Family Business and Soul Purpose has afforded me the Opportunity to grow in this field. Nadine & Coach K both expressed how Proud they were of me. I became overwhelmed with a feeling that's hard for me to describe, so much that it's taken me 3 days to write this blog post. 
Later I sat back & realized that I had to share this experience with my children and some of the young ladies that have taken part in our new Soul Purpose Youth Program, the ESPY Models from our February Fashion Show. I didn't share all of the details with the young ladies and my children until the very last moment, because I wanted to surprise them with this experience. I had merely invited them to be "models" in a photo shoot with me. I still don't think they understand that this is an Opportunity of a Lifetime! Once they open up the magazine & read the article & see their photos published, I think it will hit all of us!!!We had the pleasure of shooting the photographs at the Towson University Marriott Hotel, where we host all of events. The Family Circle "Glam Squad" had lot's of fun with us. They named me the "Mayor of the Marriott" by the time we finished the photo shoot, because the hotel staff provides me & my Soul Purpose guests with a level of customer service that is beyond outstanding whenever we visit the hotel. Our Make Up Artist & Hair Stylist was Margoux LeRoux, a celebrity make up artist who has worked with many musicians & movie stars. Malek Nax Freidouni Photography was our Photographer. These ladies were so nice and patient with Us! This was all of our first times being photographed for Print....and our first time appearing in a National Magazine! And it was the Glam Squad's first time experiencing Soul Purpose products. They knew that we all loved our Soul Purpose products & were even interested in learning more about Soul Purpose during and after the shoot. At the end of the evening, I made sure that the "Glam Squad" left with Soul Purpose & Youngevity Mineral Make Up products and I also made sure I had contact information, to include them in future Soul Purpose Team Elite Essence networking events!
